Nanoscopes

Procedural worlds at impossible scales.

A colourful abstract artwork from Megaboom Studios' existing portfolioMegaboom / Original work

Overview

A series of animated 3D artworks exploring imagined microscopic, planetary and cosmic forms through procedural materials, animation, lighting and look development.

The challenge

What needed to be true.

Create a coherent visual series from systems and parameters rather than fixed illustration, with enough control for every world to feel related but not repeated.

The response

How the work was shaped.

Used Blender's material nodes, procedural shading, animation and lighting as a visual instrument—skills that now map directly into simulation, data flow and systems thinking.

Evidence

Things that exist.

  1. 01Procedural material and node-system design
  2. 02Look development, lighting and rendering
  3. 03Animated visual language across a coherent series
  4. 04A practical bridge between art and technical systems

Why it matters

An important part of the range, presented as one project among several—not the definition of Megaboom.
